Week 5 – Techniques and equpment - client style

Observing the videos and limited print advertising (see my blog Advertising blog) I feel the advertising campaigns present serious topics about use of utilities in a light hearted manner as shown by the two print advertisements and videos with cartoon cavemen in their "Heat and Ice Age" or the use of the classical music from the Sorcerer's Apprentice and and the play on the Disney cartoon movie Fantasia  using crowds of real people carrying the 10 Lt buckets of water they save each day and dumping them into the Cotter Dam.

My initial thoughts for shooting techniques were to shoot simple, sharp, crisp and clean images with plain backgrounds that can be use by their designers to form the central part of their advertising campaign. It seems as though ActewAGL uses stock photo type of images to create their ads. Discussing this idea with Brian he suggested the work needed to contain more than an image that could be deep etched and used in a designers work it needed to be a more complet work where the only thing that would have to be added was text by the designer.
